At Privdnote, privacy is our top priority. Our service is designed to help you share confidential information securely. This policy explains how Privdnote protects the privacy of its users.

1. Service Description

Privdnote is a free web-based service that allows users to create encrypted notes shared via unique, one-time-use HTTPS links, which expire automatically after the first access. Privdnote does not send these links for you; sharing the link is the responsibility of the user.

Depending on the communication channel you choose (email, chat, SMS, or social media), there is a potential risk that third parties could intercept the link and access the note.

2. How Notes and Content are Processed

Links are generated in the user's browser and are never sent to Privdnote. Only the sender and recipient have access to the link. If the link is lost, the note cannot be recovered.

Privdnote never stores notes in a readable format. Once a note is read, it is permanently deleted. When the "Show options" feature is used, notes are deleted after the specified time interval.

Unread notes are automatically deleted after 30 days. Even if someone accessed our servers, notes are encrypted and cannot be read without the link.

3. Processing of IP Addresses

Privdnote does not log IP addresses. They are used only to communicate with our servers and are deleted immediately after they are no longer needed.

4. Pseudonymous Data

Users may include personal data in notes. Although encrypted, this data can only be accessed by the sender or recipient. Privdnote cannot decrypt notes because the decryption key is contained solely in the link.

5. Disclaimer

Privdnote is not responsible for the content of notes once a link is clicked and the note is delivered.

6. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Privdnote does not share or sell any user information and only uses data as described in this Privacy Policy.

7. Use of Cookies

Privdnote uses cookies to improve user experience and site functionality. Types of cookies include:

Functional Cookies: Persistent cookies store language preferences, display cookie notifications, and manage temporary link-related functionality. These are deleted once a note is read.

Non-functional Cookies: Used for marketing and analytics purposes by third parties. These do not store personal data for European users. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may affect site functionality.

8. Children

Privdnote is not intended for children under 16. Minors must have parental or guardian consent to use our service.

9. Validity of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. All updates will be posted on this page. Major changes will be highlighted on the homepage. Each version is identified by its effective date.
